The motor on my whirlpool Duet Sport burned out after relatively light use and only two and a half years. Of course that's long enough that the company won't cover the defective motor. Plus, the unit has a design flaw which traps water and causes mold and mildew. Whirlpool's customer service seemed neither surprised nor sympathetic when I called to arrange service and register a complaint.

Looking into Kenmore which I hear has a much better front load energy saving model. I won't buy whirlpool Duet Sport again. Ever.
